Hi.....Oleanders grow well in the mediterranean region...which often means poor free draining soil, but with heat and strong light. I brought 2 back from there which I planted in tubs and although they look healthy..lack of sunshine means they haven't flowered. You can now buy Oleanders hardy to this country which may be a better bet. Don't forget they are highly toxic.
