Can anyone identify this plant?
From its habit of growth and the form of the leaves I thought it could be a kind of Pulmonaria?
On the second photo, the rule is one meter long.

The older leaves are large, about a foot long, fleshy and hairy, with an obvious pale main vein down the centre.

Did they have blue or light pink flowers that the bees loved? If so then I'd agree comfrey, but the leaves do look rather narrow for that. Not penstemon anyway, sorry Lynne. Spreads like mad if its comfrey but you can compost it.

No bother Steragram, after a bit of googling I agree with the Comfrey ID!

Well make sure you dig out as much as you can find - there will still be some left for next year!

I think the leaves look a bit like some kind of penstemon but it's very hard to say having not seen the flowers.
