Hi, my cat has unfortunately been using our raised beds as a dirt tray over the winter :( Can I safely grow any veg or crops in the beds now? Am concerned about toxoplasma in particular. Can the soil be sterilised or made safer or should I just grow flowers instead!!

cats normaly only do there busyness just under the soil . i would just rake it over a couple of inches down and get the worst out.then if you dig it over well it should be ok.

I would only be concerned if the soil is badly contaminated with faecal matter. You will need to make sure she/he stops using that area though.
