Hi
I have a large bay tree at the front of my house. It is around 12 foot tall and shaped into a drum shape. I am hoping to put off- street parking and the tree will have to be removed. Someone once said that it was probably be worth selling. Is this true and how do I go about doing it?

It will only be of any value if it is contained in a pot already - at 12 feet, and with regular pruning, it must have been in the ground (if that's where it is) for quite a while. What matters is how long its been in the ground - longer than 3 or 4 years, it'll be difficult to get out with the roots intact. Longer than 6 or 7 years, even worse, obviously.

See if you can compare its size and price with a garden centre one and then put it on e-bay - buyer collects.
