Sorry, me again. Blackberry bush.
I was a bit over enthusiastic last year with my secateurs and cut my blackberry bush down too far. So I bought one in a small pot , prepared the ground thoroughly and set it next to the fence.
It got to about 8 inches tall quite a while ago but hasn't moved since, and is looking rather sad at the moment. Is there any point in covering it up in a tall cloche or can I do anything else to protect it ? ( too ashamed to add a photo !)

Thanks very much , L, I'll stop worrying about it but keep an eye on it in Spring.

No probs Hank. And you don't need to say sorry when you ask a question! Questions are what addicts live for....

It shouldn't need protection - they're as tough as old boots.
Just leave it/them and let nature take its course.
I'm sure they'll show new growth in the spring.
Patience is the watchword!
