roots

iv just moved house and my garden is in a bad state. I have cut a lot of stuff down how can i get rid of all the roots without digging them all up???

It depends what they are. A lot of shrubs trees etc will grow back. We had a vineyard cleared 3 years ago from our garden. The men did not get all the roots, so every year some vines try to grow back. We dig thenm out if they are in an area that we are cultivating, so bit by bit we are getting rid of them. Maybe this should be your approach, take the roots out of areas where you are growing things or laying/seeding grass etc, and eventually you will get them all out.
