Worms. Someone suggested to me adding garden worms to nutrient poir soil. Am about to replant an area where conifers sucked the life out soil and whilst digging the area have come across no worms. I know rest of my garden has got worms in soil. Has anyone ever bought worms off internet? Not sure about it? Any advice gratefully received!

Tis the other way round, the worms will move into the soil when it becomes more organically enriched. Putting them into poor soil will do no good, they will just move out.

Good point. Hadn't thought of it like that. Will start enriching and put welcome signs out!

boggy,s correct smack loads of manure over the ground to stand over winter or a good ruck of dead leaves

or any spent compost from growbags etc will also help. Don't forget many worms go deeper down in the colder months too.

How do I say thanks?
