Is this weather messing around the plants?? I have got snowdrops coming up and my mum still has fuchsia flowers!

The weather doesn't confuse nature - it confuses us humans!
Plants and animals react to the weather as an inbuilt sense.
They know nothing of time or seasons - these things are man made! They've been doing this for far longer than man has been around. Leave 'em to it - they'll be here long after we've gone.
