There are so many possibilities! Too much or to little of almost anything that orchids need could have this effect. The kind of orchid it is also has bearing. You may want to re-post the question with full particulars, to get a sensible answer.

Air too dry probably or in a drafty place. Or could have been moved they don't like being moved when in bud. Have you fed it?
