any ideas to stop the local cats useing my garden as a toilet !!!

Don't leave areas of ground dug over and uncovered, use grit or decorative bark... the only other solution is get your own cat which will see others cats off. We have two siamese cats and really don't have a problem as there is never bare fresh dug soil.

I agree with Moongrower cats like newly dug earth. Last year I had trouble with cats, I dug a new front garden bed and put farmyard manure in it, never again the cats where everywhere. This year plants are growing and no cat problems.

i bought some get off it is a gel that smells a bit like jeys fluid and it has worked a treat

Dont hold your breath Tim! I found after the first dose which seems to work? they come back and ignore the next dose.

I use Scoot on my veg patch after sowing the seeds. Seems to work pretty well. My cat has a litter tray indoors and is kept in at night - I wish all cat owners would do the same and then there wouldn't be a problem....
