what is it about q's going on the www that is worrying you, great?

When I post a question, and people answer me, I've been thinking that only GOY see the responses. I have named my children and put pictures of my garden and I am worried that a violent ex partener may find me and the kids. Am I worrying for nothing?? PlusI have written my profile with personal info in it

think people have to register to get access to blogs, personal profiles etc. but if i were you i would contact the admin people and ask them exactly what can be accessed by the public. have you included your name anywhere? maybe your ex would not recognise it's you if not. maybe take kiddies names off? really sorry to hear about the issues it has caused you, i hope you can get it sorted and hopefuly put your mind at rest. The fact that it is going on the WWW will properly make it safer every time somebody asks a question the GOYdatabase will pick it up and process it and display it for us all to see and the same with the answers. As far as safety is concerned I would not worry because they will be filters anti-virus software on the GOY servers that will be constantly monitoring all traffic that passes through its servers. The sight needs people to see it if not none of us would be using it because we would not know about it and how brill it is. When we see questions asked by guests the chances are they have found GOY using Google or other search engines. I am an ex IT professional and I feel safe using this sight so don’t worry too much and carry on enjoying GOY

When I posted a blog of photos from my daughter in Sark she wanted to see it but I assumed she would have to join to access it, however she just typed in GOY and went straight to the site and could see everything that was going on, it did surprise me a little, but you can do the same with other sites.
I do hope you will have no problems from this, Peter & Ajay are the ones to set your mind at rest.

Click on edit your profile and you can remove all your personnel details and piccys if you feel worried that your past might catch up with you.

All sites including GoY are accessible by people from all corners of the world and it's wise to keep your names and identities hidden/secret, especially if there are people you'd like to avoid.
As Doctorbob said, a name or word can be typed into a computer and 'you' could well be the person/thing that gets listed as an option to view.

as for private chat great wear you ask a private question . the yellow writing saying its only you and who you are talking to reading is not true either for what thats worth. everything has to be policed i guess its just a bit misleading.

well i can assure you this certain american type person was told not to keep swearing and being crude in the pm`s and i have been told not to advertise my web site .its fare enough and it is just someone who runs this site so dont worry .its just misleading like i say but the whole site has to be policed realy .

Hi nosey, love the tiger!! The pond is pretty boring at the moment, nothing in it yet, animal or plants. The birds are investigating it though, so thats good. Nice to see a robin bobbin around the pond. Have planted up around the pond a bit more now. Have you seen my blog trasformation 3 .There is a brown floating kind of scum on the top of the water, don't know what it is. Is this normal for a new pond?
