Is it too late to move a Dissendra spectabilis. Mine is hidden away behind other shrubs so the flowers can't be appreciated. (Not sure if spelling correct).

The shoots are quite brittle, so be careful that you don't snap them if you do move it. This plant enjoys a moist shady spot. Underneath other shrubs is perfect. Mine grows in the shade of a hard pruned Fuchsia magellanica. So this doesn't hide it until later in summer when the Dicentra is dying down.

You are right Spritzhenry, it is in flower at the moment so will take your advise and wait for the flowers to finish before moving it. Thank you.

:-) Good luck when you do move it.

Well - it should be in flower, and it's not the best time to move a plant - it's 'Dicentra spectabilis', by the way, but if you dug out the new planting hole and prepared it well, then transferred your plant with a large amount of soil round its rootball, and watered it well, it should be OK, I think.
