I have a Clematis "Little White Charm" in a very large pot.I have been told to cover the surface with stones to protect the roots from the sun,has anyone know if this is correct,+ what do I feed It on.

Not sure on the feeding front as ours are in the ground and so don't need - you could try half strength liquid tomato feed I guess or send a PM to Spritzhenry

Hi Spader yes cover surface of soil with stones, or pebbles or gravel to help keep the roots cool.
