I have just bought an Aeonium Arboreum 'Black Cap' from a garden centre. Looked happy and healthy, but in just 3 days is now looking very sad. His leaves are dying and I haven't a clue what to do! Help !!

Yep, I've kept it inside - not in a draft, not near a radiator. I talked to it, generally made it fee at home - but it is most definitely unhappy! Today, I've put it on my dinning room table so that it is getting some more light but the position I had hoped for is in light shade - no direct sunlight, but not dark either!
Thanks so much for coming back to me so quickly - I'm most impressed as I'm new to this site.

This from my houseplant book: A windowsill is best, as some sunshine is vital. Likes a difference between day and night temperatures, tolerates down to 40 deg F at night, prefers 50-55 deg F during the day, doesn't like it any hotter (so if you've got your heating on, it won't like that). No need to mist the leaves, has a requirement for fresh air, open a window if not too cold, not to troubled by draughts. Repot only when essential, preferably in spring, using a shallow rather than deep pot. You can stand outside from early June through to August.

Wow - this is fantastic - thank you soooo much! Looks like I'll have to change its planned position though - that's fine cos I love the plant.

have you kept it inside, or did you put it outside? these are tender plants and should not be placed outside until all danger of frost is past, usually end of May or later than that in the northern half of the country.
