i have a montana clematus that has done wonderfully for the past 8 years but htis year it only grew a small amount of buds and the buds are very light in colour also only some of those buds have flowered and the rest have just stayed as buds. Please help as i love this plant

When did you last give it a hard prune? and feed it?
