first welcome to GOY. If you look at my blog Wildlife area transformation 3 you see that I used an old tin bath in the garden. If you look at rogers blog you will see that he used 2 washing up bowls. A word of caution though, wildlife and fish don't mix. Its one or the other! My pond is strictly for wildlife

Yes, I'd agree. Fish may also be more "fragile", so if I was you I'd set up a small pond, for example we've used an old half barrel with pond lining material. The frogs found it all on their own. If you're lucky you may get newts and so on too. Enjoy it!

Weeding was it a barrel from a brewery? or from a GC? Would like one for nursery, work with children with special needs. Water is so soothing. Please have you any photos? Sorry Blue didn't mean to take over your question!!

No, not brewery, or at least not recently!
It was actually in the garden when we moved here. You can buy them at GCs though, or try asking on your local freecycle website?
There should be some photos of it on my homepage, it's not very grand but I love it! It's full of tadpoles of all sizes at present.

The pics are not directly on my homepage photos, but go to my blog called "Frogblog" from May last year and you can see them.
