Why did has my wisteria which flowered for the first time this spring suddenly gone all withered during the last 2 weeks? I have watered it a lot since noticing it, and wonder if it will recover. The flowers were beautiful, pink and white, not blue! The soil is clay and I planted it 4 years ago, on a wall facing South. Next to it on a fence is a honeysuckle which seems to be OK...

If its not drought, there is a new problem with Wisteria and the RHS is still not certain of the cause - sometimes though, this can be caused by a problem with the graft at the base of the plant not being good enough, thus allowing disease to enter. If its either of these things, plant death usually results.
