Our tree was a disaster from day one and we planted it when our daughter was born, some years it would fruit half heartedly, other years the fruits were all dried up and knarled then the trunk got those orange sticky lumps, plus aphids, branches dying back etc, we gave up and turned it into a stand for our bird house !!! Our daughter had left home by then!!
