Soil Conditioner query.
Hi, I've just opened a bag of soil conditioner that I've had in the shed for about a year and there's white stuff all over it and in it. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be and also do you think that I should ditch, rather than use, this on my veggie patch. Many thanks.

Probably Micorrhizae, a beneficial fungus that lives naturally in soil

Many thanks to you both for your responses. The soil conditioner has been spread out and seems to look a bit better now especially as we've had quite a bit of rain over the last few days.
Regards.

It's fine, it looks to be mycelium which is present in healthy soils anyway.
Just fluff it up with a fork and it'll be perfect!
