Is block paving supposed to be sealed? One of the purposes of such paving is to allow rain water to soak away; rather than with a solid surface when the rainwater just runs off into the drains and contributes to flooding.

Ours was sealed last year. Its worked so far on the blocks but the joints are showing signs of green. No probs with drainage BA as the paving is on a slope which drains into the ground..
