If they are in a group that splits when disturbed than gathers back in something resembling a bud of a flower, they are tiny orb spiders. They soon disperse to individually build build a tiny web, that grows larger as they grow. By the autumn they are round and plump and their webs are an engineering marvels. They vanish quite suddenly when the weather gets colder.
