Me again.Sorry for hogging the sight. I think my salad leaves are going to go to seed. Will it still be ok to eat them or should i dig them up which would be such a shame. They are Rocket, Meskulin, Mizuma and oriental mustard. They have all come up together and at such speed.

Oh thank you Seaburn. Will carry on eating them. My son loves a little bitterness in salads so should be ok. Will sow smaller amounts next time.

no you can still eat them and trendy chefs often serve the flowers too. they sometimes take on a slightly more bitter flavour. Sowing a few seeds every 2 weeks gives you a few plants over a long growing season. I do it his way after i had a glut that just ended up being composted.
