Hi Freinds. My Snowball Shrub flowers are now finishing and I was wondering when I can prune it as it is getting rather big, it done well this year as you can see by my pictures, Oh! do I cut the old blooms off yet.

Thanks for your reply Fractal. The srub has many stems coming out of the ground so I think I will have to lower it, also I still would like to know the right time to prune. :o)

Nice specimen. You have possibly two options here. Remove all the lower branches and raise the canopy to reveal the primary trunk/trunks or leave the lower branches and have the top primary branches removed. Personally, I would go with the former rather than the latter.
