Earlier this year for reasons I can't now remember I planted 9 strawberry plants in one of those giant growbags. They are doing fantastically well, with loads of fruit coming. Should I leave them in the bag at the end of the season, & feed them in situ next year, or is it best to go back to proper beds?

Thank you. I did wonder: they are almost too big - the leaves are nearly twice the size of the ones growing in proper soil & I thought that maybe it would mean that the plants are too soft & sappy.

I agree, they have grown far too leafy from the sounds of it. Not the end of the world really, especially if the fruit are larger! See what happens.

Probably an either / or here Sally. Personally I wouldn't leave them in the growbag. Growing them in a proper bed with proper soil is much better for them anyway though if you wanted to leave them another season, they will be ok.
