I assume you don't mean 'ant'? It is indeed a toadflax, the Ivy-leaved toadflax, Cymbalaria muralis which is a trailing perennial. It will seed and naturalise just about anywhere, coating crevices in walls with its dainty lilac flowers. I have a huge pot which had tulips in it and is now a mound of this pretty little trailing flower.

Yes but all the ivy leaved toadflax I've ever seen has been a great lot smaller than that. Anybody ever seen a variety this big?

Well I certainly haven't Steragram. The ivy leaved toadflax that invades my garden every year is about a tenth the size of the one above and totally different in appearance.

As I can't add a photo here I have added a blog with a couple of photo's of the one I have in a pot. There are certainly differences.

The flower certainly looks like a toadflax, but the leaves are totally different,as is the size. Just wondering if it could be a variety of Saxifraga fortuneii - the leaves are certainly very similar

Well....spoke to mate today who gave me the photos and he said the pot in the picture is around 2", the plant is no more than 2" high and it seems to spread everywhere.

Seems like Ivy leaved toadflax afterall.

he liked it so much, he wanted to plant it on his rockery at home....lolol. Told him ive got bucket fulls at work if he wants it !!!!!!
