My 5 year old wisteria here in mid West Sussex produced an abundance of flowers this May/June 2014, but now in mid July it has produced very few leaves and some have turned yellow and fallen off. I put rotted horse manure on the garden last autumn. What can I do to help my plant?

What soil are you on.....Wisterias will survive but not thrive on chalk. Im on solid chalk in Lewes and my 15 year old Wisteria produces hundreds of flowers but the leaves always look pale and insipid !!!

We've also had a 6 week dry spell which can stress plants. Personally, I would make sure the plant gets water...and lots of it an maybe a dilute 1/2 strength liquid feed with something miracle grow every time you water.

How do I say thanks?
