My wisteria tree looks dead, no growth on tree, very harsh winter this last year (2103-2014). I have a lot of vines growing around the tree (too much, want to cut them back hard). Does my tree stand a chance?

If there was absolutely no growth this year then it's a gonner. Yes, the past winter(USA-east coast) was a very bad one. I lost a well established butterfly bush. Welcome to GOY!
