Someone posted the same pic of one a few questions ago. Its a hawk moth - someone said an elephant hawk moth. Very large caterpillars.

It was me. The elephant hawkmoth is supposed to like fuchsias.

I found one on mine a few years back and thought "fuschia or hawk moth". Couldn't bear to hurt it so it stayed and munched away. I never saw it pupate.

i must start growing fuschia.

im so exited about it,wondered what was munching my fuschia,i love finding bugs in the garden.
