I have an hypericum, there are still at this time some yellow flowers on it. It grows behind a small stone wall. The surprising thing that has occurred is a small shoot is actually growing out of the wall on the other side of the bush. This has never happened before, and to make it more unusual it has a red blossom at its end. It seems amazing it has rooted, but why is the blossom red?

Which hypericum is it? They range from low ground cover to bushes five or six feet high.

This is one of those occasions when a picture speaks a thousand words - any chance of a photograph?
