i have been using an old water butt as an extra compost bin and its making quite nice compost now but there is a lot of liquid in the bottom of bin that will come out if I turn tap on can this liquid be used as a feed and if so what dilutions

I suppose it would be fine to use it as plant food,but I think it would have been better to have made some drainage holes in your water butt,as your compost might tend to go slimy and smelly,if it's stood in water..you need some form of ventilation,and to turn your compost now and then..Sorry,I don't know the proportions for dilution,but I think I would draw it off,to let the compost dry out a bit..You probably won't need plant food in the coming months..
