Hellabores. I accidentally cut off all the leaves and spent flowers of an established Hellabore! Now there are only a few stalks peeping out of the ground! Will it regrow or have I just given it a death sentence? :(

If it is an Oriental Hellebore hybrid then it will come to no harm. The leaves have virtually finished feeding the plant now and would be removed in February in any case. If it was one of the other types, H. x sternii or H. niger or H. foetidus etc. then they would not be totally happy, but they should survive.

I agree, just think of what happens when a sheep/cow/rabbit grazes a plant . they often recover with no harm done.
