Whenever you want isn't always true in the UK though!

seems an odd comment from someone who has just joined the forum!
Obviously you can put what /when into the greenhouse when you want but the assumption is to overwinter it /keep it alive.

Hi, I think we've got another comedian, joined to take the micky, and post pointless comments, Derek.

I flagged them yesterday.

Never thought of that Cammomile :-) , Derek.

Well I think that the answer from Agewr is a perfectly reasonable one. Thinking about it, I would have probably answered it in a similar way. The question was "When do you put a canular in the greenhouse". A bit ambiguous don't you think.
I'm sorry if this upsets people that think that long term members are the only ones that allowed to post comments like that, but personally I think that the question could have contained a bit more information.
Cammomile, it is beyond me that you would flag someone that posted an answer like that. We should encourage new members to this site instead of ostracising them. Maybe it was said a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it doesn't go against this sites code, it's not offensive or derogatory, or am I missing something here?

I flagged them because they used the same idiotic antics in two other questions - all posted yesterday - one of which was about hedgehogs. Nothing tongue in cheek about it. They have since disappeared.

I obviously didn't read their other questions, and so I don't know the content. so I apologise Cammomile.

I saw Canuar and thought cannula....

Perhaps Stovesy would like to add a bit more information about their plant.
Please let's not beat anyone around the head because they get a spelling wrong (it would be a very quiet forum if we report everyone for that!)

No criticism intended Urbanite - I was laughing at myself for reading it too fast! Thought it might amuse somebody else.

It was a general observation Stera - that a newbie shouldn't be flagged because they've got a plant name muddled up.

Agreed, and none of us would do that Urbanite I'm sure. As the comment in question was flagged you can't now see what it was, but it certainly wasn't a spelling mistake.

Not really sure what you are asking about. Do you mean a Canna [large leaved tropical ginger type plant] or Calla a type of 'lily'.
If either of these then round about now to keep them frost free.
