I have a blue jay blueberries bush that my wife has put in the garden. With compost. The leaves are turning redy brown. I think it's gone in to early. My soil is ph7.5 I don't want to dig it back up. Is there anyway I can revive it still in the ground. Very new to gardening. Perth scotland

Could I keep putting ericacaous compost on that area of soil. Or just give up on blueberries in the garden.

You could lift, dig a bigger hole, fill with ericaceous compost and replant but it is going to need a lot of care and attention in the ground including feeding with an ericaceous feed.

It might be better container grown when you can control the pH more easily. They need a pH of about 4.5

Blueberries need an acid soil, yours is slightly alkaline. I would pot it up in ericaceous compost and see how it does, I don't think it will ever be happy in the ground under your conditions.
