I have a variegated Hibiscus and your pic looks exactly the same, unfortunately I also don't know the name. I hope someone can help us both all I can remember is that it flowers late and is bluey purple colour.

Hibiscus syriacus 'Meehanii' & H. syriacus 'Purpureus Variegatus' are the two variegated varieties most frequently seen, they both have pale purple flowers.

thanks cestrian i've just taken a look at that ,well the leaves seem the same it will be interesting waiting for it to bloom. i took another look at it there's a bud forming but it looks a red colour ???

Ilex thank you, this is what i found, with your help.it looks more like the second pic,but isnt strange i said i could see a tiny bud forming which looked reddish
