My daughter has this ?tree in her garden. The bees love it. Does anybody know what it is and give any advice on how to look after it? They like the flowers but is very woody and overgrown. I don't know if it's an overgrown bush or a small tree. Thank you

How lovely, I adore these and first saw them in municipal gardens in Cornwall. It's a Crinodendron hookerianum or Chile lantern tree. They will grow to about 6 metres according to the RHS but can be kept to a reasonable size with trimming. I always thought these needed the same conditions as Rhododendron's but mine has recently been transplanted in the garden from a pot and is quite happy - we are on clay, it's the acid content I was wary of!
