Velvet soft leaves
I would love to know what this plant is. It's leaves feel like velvet, almost furry. Another one know it?

As above, it does spread a bit though...i've even got some that seeded itself under a huge lime tree...in very dry, total shade conditions.
Bees love it.

I have this plant and have posted a couple pics. It's called 'lamb's ear.' Yes, velvety soft leaves. It likes hot dry sunny conditions. Slow to spread, easy to control.

It has rather ugly yellow daily flowers and gets untidy. I heaved mine out.

It's a Stachys byzantina otherwise known as Lamb's ears. RHS site here:

Gardener's World last night had this in huge drifts in a gravel garden, it looked stunning!
