Weed or not a Weed

Good Afternoon, My friend has recently moved house and she has clumps of this plant growing all over. Can you identify it for her,I think it may be a Salvia she thinks its a weed. What do you all think?? Sorry I cannot seem to rotate the 1st photo

I've got it too and the pink version. As you say the bees love it, so if there is space, try to leave it.

Not a weed in my book - that looks like a nice little bunch to keep. Easy enough to pull up if it does over extend its welcome.

I have 'em out in a heartbeat too... don't fancy weeding out a hundred more the following year if they're not removed! Plenty of other stuff in the garden for bees, I'm a bit obsessive about planting bee friendly plants...

Mine has only seeded one plant in 5 years so it's no trouble.

Looks like Linara purpurea, or purple toadflax - whether its a weed or not depends on your point of view - it is in the habit of popping up all over the place because it seeds itself easily, but many people like it and let it grow anyway.
