We have a contorted willow which is loosing its leave, we thought it was short of water but have discovered little green caterpillars munching the leave bare can you tell us what this is and how to treat it?

Not without a picture, really, but they might be sawfly larvae, specially if they're green with yellow and black heads. Can you add a photo of them?
