I love alstroemeria. I once tried to grow from seed on dried up flowers from a bunch given to me. It din't work. Are they difficult to grow? I'm told they spread like wildfire once established.

They are not difficult to grow if you give them the requirements they need and the new varieties aren't as invasive as the older types.
