There are a few varieties of apples which produce red fleshed fruits - but if these are pretty small for an apple, they may be crab apples, not sure if there's a pink fleshed variety of those. Crab apples can be used to make crab apple jelly and are not poisonous, and obviously, apples aren't poisonous either.

I've got two red love apple trees. One has normal sized apples and the others are tiny, they both have red flesh right through them.
