I purchased Alstroemeria bare roots late last winter.
I seem to have 2 completely different plants, one not showing any flowers at all, and the other with what seems to be lots of seed heads.
Does anyone know if they should look like this

Alstroemerias grown from roots often refuse to flower the first year. As Sbg says, all should be well next year, as long as it gets some sun there. The second one looks suspiciously like redshank (Persicaria maculosa).

the lack of flowers could just be a settling in issue and all should be well next season.
the photo of the second plant doesn't show the same plant. if it was sold to you as an alstromeria it was mis sold. It looks more like a persicaria but don't know which one off the top of my head.
