How do I pru e a very large beautiful salvia neon. It is still flowering but it is so large it collapsed on to the ground. I have tied it up not very well.i don't want to kill it as I love it.

I cut mine back in mid to late March by 1/3 to 1/2. Don't cut it back any earlier or any harder as it might not recover.
