why we need to be vigilant?

why we need to be vigilant!

With all the weather woes and the consequences of flooding, this seems a trivial comment on my behalf so apologies in advance.

when doing a bit of weeding today I came across 2 live lily beetles, crawling around where I grow L pardalinum gigantium. Needless to say they are dead now.

They are spreading west. I found two in my garden last year. Never seen them before. I'm glad you killed them. There seem to be lots of insects around this winter. Also many slugs :(

I've had white fly on the strawberries and I've just spotted greenfly on a couple of rose buds. Also had to squish a couple of Rosemary beetles just before Christmas. Incredible! I'm now hoping for a couple of good hard frosts to kill the little blighters off! Last year was particularly bad in my garden for pests and I don't really want another year the same!
