just been looking at my hardy fuchsias this morning. We have had such a mild winter so far that even some recent frosts have not affected the plants in the normal way. One plant is still flowering!! Should I prune the plants at the same time as normal and as hard this year?
They still have 3/4 of their leaves.

I'm going to prune mine in Spring as usual.

Yes, you can prune as normal at the normal time (usually late March or early April, when new growth is showing). If you think you'll like larger fuchsias this year (assuming they don't get cut by an arctic blast in February) then you can trim them back rather than hard prune, but the Fuchsia Society's advice is to cut them to the ground or very low anyway - unless they're species like F. magellenica.

How do I say thanks?
