Cannas, for the first time since years I got flowers in them. Maybe I give them too much water, I've read an article from a garden specialist here, that he only watered them once a week, but I wonder in those high temperatures here in summer time, also they look very untidy at ground level, maybe I should dig some rhizomes out ?

You can certainly remove some of the rhizomes if there are too many - these plants multiply very quickly. Not sure what else you want to know, not clear whether you're asking why they've flowered, or why they haven't in previous years.
