We had very good pots of geraniums last year. They still have leaves and small flower heads and aren't visibly dying off. I would like to give them a good start to the season.what is a good approach. No greenhouse. I put them in the garage when it is frosty. North of scotland

Well the best approach would be to turn them out of their pots, repot in fresh compost, cut back the topgrowth to about 1 inch, and move them indoors by a sunny window or into a conservatory, water and feed regularly, then move them back outside in late May. It doesn't, though, sound as if you can do that, and need to leave them outdoors, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait till April or May, then cut them back and repot and start the feed/watering regime.

How do I say thanks?
