hi amsterdam i think you could have a cyclamen there i may be wrong others will tell you if i am good luck.

It seems to have spiky edges on the leaves... I really am intrigued ......

Not any Cyclamen that I know. I would say it was a Hellebore, probably argutifolius is more likely.

If you look on my photo's on page 8 I have 5 different varieties. I currently have seedlings growing around a few established ones but they don't look anything like this seedling, their leaves are a lot longer. If I get a chance I will add a photo of these seedlings for you to compare with tomorrow.

I was looking at self seeded helebores in our garden yesterday and the initial leaves do look almost round they develop their true leaves later.
