Philadelphus Aurea . . one or two leaves have grown bi-coloured. I'm used to a darker green 'sport' instead of the usual limey-yellow, but is there an explanation for this odd mixture?

it is due to a change in the genes when there were literally 2 cells in the forming leaf bud. hence the clean 1/2. nothing to worry about. I think it is rather nice in a weird way.
