This one really has me puzzled. About 30cm across, prostrate habit, flowers rather like ceanothus. Several around, arrived from somwhere.

I believe it's called Self Heal, Prunella vulgaris. It was once used as a herbal remedy and it's said it's also edible. Doesn't appeal to me though. It's also a bit of a thug.

I think its Selfheal, proper name Prunella vulgaris - a common weed in lawns.
