Cammomile yes you are correct i was at castle hautefort garden. Planting was a bit patchy and it needed weeding bad!..best out of the 4 gardens i saw was "les jardins sothys" at auriac. I found jardins de imaginaire too much concept for me but others may like it .........SORRY to rosierose i missed out a full stop. I have been growing clarkia and oenothera amongst other things last year so i sort of recognized it but thought it was clarkia and TUG is right it is a oenothera thank you

Lovely gardens, scary drop over the edge to the village below. Drew Barrimore starred in a Cinderella story filmed there a few years ago. Did you walk through the tunnel of trees? We loved it and found a wonderful restaurant in the village. We saw the gardeners clipping the box hedges, must have taken forever.
